APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • When the following actions occur,

1. A coach view contains a section
2. A coach is designed to use the coach view.
3. Controls are added to the control box.
4. A visibility rule is set for the controls in the content box.
5. Another section control is added to the coach.
6. A different visibility rule is set for the section control

the visibility rule for the controls in the content box can
override the visibility rule for the other controls.

Sometimes the controls have the same Control ID, which causes
the other problem of one visibility rule being used for both
controls with the same ID.

  • Ensure that each control in the coach page has a unique Control
ID.

Problem conclusion

  • A fix will be included in IBM BPM V8.5.7 cumulative fix 2017.09
that correctly applies visibility at run time used in the
visibility rule.
