JR57887: Moving saved order to current order might delete order items if a new contract version is uploaded

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• When a user uploads a new contract version with no change to the
  contract, and then marks a saved order as the current order,
  order items that contain the old contract number are deleted.
  
  The issue occurs because when you upload a new version of the
  contract, the contract Id changes. WebSphere Commerce
  automatically deletes order items that contain an invalid
  contract Id.

Problem conclusion

• Added new configuration. If users do not want order items with
  an obsolete contract Id to be automatically deleted, users can
  disable the feature.
