APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • If you use SCA EIS bindings (Adapters) and XSD files with same
name but different target namespaces are in the project, the EIS
 binding classes could fail to generate during application
installation step when you run the serviceDeploy command. Also,
you might see a ClassNotFound exception when the application
runs.

Problem summary

  • If duplicate XSD files with same name but different target
namespaces are in place in the EAR which generated by
serviceDeploy, the algorithm could pick up one of the duplicate
xsd files to generate the EIS binding classes during deployment.
 If it picks up the incorrect one, EIS binding classes
generation could fail during deployment.

Problem conclusion

  • A fix is available for IBM BPM V8.5.7 cumulative fix 2016.12
that ensures the correct XSD file is picked up to generate EIS
binding classes.
