Local fix

Problem summary

• During debugging, an IllegalDataException might be thrown
  indicating a serialization issue occurred caused by illegal XML
  characters.
  

Problem conclusion

• A fix will be included in IBM BPM V8.5.7 cumulative fix 2017.06
  that will optionally autocorrect illegal XML characters during
  debugging.
  
  To enable this function, set the following parameter in your
  100Custom.xml file to
  
      <server>
          <autocorrect-xml merge="replace">true</autocorrect-xml>
      </server>
