JR57480: SAVING A COACH VIEW IN THE WEB IBM PROCESS DESIGNER TAKES A LONGTIME

Error description

  • After you make changes to a coach view, like changing the
    Visibility or Configuration setting, in the Coach View editor of
    the web Process Designer and then clicking Save, you notice that
    it takes a long time to complete the save operation. It could
    take minutes to save a simple coach view.

Local fix

  • To improve performance when you edit coach views, try these
    suggestions:
    
    - Disable Wysiwyg by right-clicking the Coach View editor >
    layout option and selecting Editor options > Disable Wysiwyg in
    the Designer".
    
    - Filter the Coach View editor > layout > palette (on the right
    side) to reduce the number of coach views shown in the
    palette. You can do this by reducing the number of dependent
    toolkits that can  contribute coach views to the palette, by
    typing a filter or using the twistie to deselect which coach
    views show in the palette, or trying both methods. The fewer
    dependent toolkits that are shown, the quicker coach views are
    saved.
