JR57217: Forgot password request prompts the shopper to enter the old password

APAR status

Error description

• If your environment enables persistent sessions and a shopper
  selects the 'Remember Me' option when logging in, the shopper
  might encounter issues with the Forgot password option in the
  future.
  For example, consider the following scenario:
  1. Shopper logs into the store with Remember Me option selected.
  2. Shopper closes the browser.
  3. Shopper opens a browser and goes back to the store.
  4. Shopper clicks 'Forgot password'
  
  Here, the shopper is prompted to enter the old password.

• USERS AFFECTED:
  WebSphere Commerce Version 7 and Version 8.
  
  PROBLEM ABSTRACT:
  Forgot password request prompts the shopper to enter the old
  password
  
  BUSINESS IMPACT:
  For a remembered session, when the shopper submits a Forgot
  password request, the shopper needs to input the old password,
  which is not the expected behavior.
  
  RECOMMENDATION:
  

Problem conclusion

• Pass the partialCredentials through transaction cache, because
  when service is used, we cannot get this parameter in the
  ResetPasswordCmdImpl.
