USERS AFFECTED: WebSphere Commerce Version 7 Feature Pack 8 and Version 8 workspace users who use the Workspace Management feature in Management Center. PROBLEM ABSTRACT: Allow workspace scheduler jobs to be run on its own work manager BUSINESS IMPACT: Now workspace scheduler jobs can be configured to run in a separate dedicated thread pool, so they are not subject to starvation. RECOMMENDATION:
Problem conclusion
Added ability for an administrator to configure a dedicated work manager for workspaces such that threads from its thread pool are used to schedule workspace jobs. To enable this capability, you need to create a custom work manager and then update the wc-resource-containers.xml file. For more information, see the readme file that is included in the fix for this APAR.
