Error description
If you add 'tag' or 'ex' tags to a fq/facet pair for a field in the inventory index, for example: http://hostname:port/solr/MC_<MC ID>_CatalogEntry_en_US/select?q=*:*&facet=true&facet.field={!ex= test}inv_strlocqty_10051_10238&fq={!tag=test}inv_strlocqty_10051 _1028:50 the tag/ex tags should ensure that the facet remains unaffected by the filter query. However, this behavior does not work for fields in the extension index.

Problem conclusion
Tagging and exclusion is now handled in the Search extension runtime. Note: Tag/exclusion will not work in multiple cores. If a query has a tag/exclusion against a field in the inventory index, for example, it must not contain a tag/exclusion against a field in the CatalogEntry index.
