Error description

  • Because IBM Business Process Manager (BPM) queries the
LSW_EPV_VAR_VALUE table whenever IBM BPM tries to get the value
of the environment variable, performance might be slow if your
process application uses the environment variable heavily.

Local fix

  • Load the environment variables into the processes once (such as
after starting the process) and store the values in local
variables to avoid multiple queries to an environment variable
within a process instance.

Problem summary

  • No additional information is available.

Problem conclusion

  • A fix will be included in a future IBM BPM release that
introduces a new cache for the environment variable value to
avoid repeated queries of the LSW_EPV_VAR_VALUE table.
