Error description

• After completing a workspace task in Management Center that
  contains a newly activated promotion which uses generated
  promotion codes, multiple instances of the error messages "Your
  current task is no longer valid, please check with your System
  Administrator." might be shown.  After encountering this error
  message, the business user can no longer access any other
  store-related tools while working on approved content.
  

Local fix

• After completing the task, the business user can log out of
  Management Center, then log back in. They can then continue to
  use Management Center normally.
  

Problem summary

• USERS AFFECTED:
  WebSphere Commerce administrators on V7 Feature Pack 5 with APAR
   JR53048 who author promotions with promotion codes in
  workspaces.
  
  PROBLEM ABSTRACT:
  Error when completing a workspace task that contains an
  activated promotion with generated codes.
  
  BUSINESS IMPACT:
  Business users are unable to continue working in Management
  Center after completing a task which contains a promotion that
  uses promotion codes.
  
  RECOMMENDATION:
  

Problem conclusion

• When a promotion that requires generated promotion codes is
  activated inside a workspace, promotion codes will be generated
  within the workspace.
  
  However, the promotion codes will be written into the BASE
  schema as temporary data. To do so, the content context needs to
   be changed to the base schema in order to write the promotion
  codes directly into the base schema. After the promotion code
  generation has finished, the context needs to be restored before
   finishing the activation of the promotion. This fix avoids
  triggering an additional update by the business context service.
