APAR status

Error description

  • Language selection in the Aurora starter store does not work on
Chrome. For example, if you change the language from English to
French, the store language does not change.

If you open the Chrome Developer Console, you see an error
similar to the following message:
Uncaught TypeError: browserURL.contains is not a function
StoreCommonUtilities.js:1294

Local fix

  • Shoppers can use a different web browser.

WebSphere Commerce V7 Feature Pack 6 and 7 environments that
have JR50929 installed.

PROBLEM ABSTRACT:
After you install JR50929, shoppers cannot change languages in
the Aurora starter store using the Google Chrome browser

BUSINESS IMPACT:
Shoppers who use the Google Chrome browser cannot change the
language in an Aurora starter store.

RECOMMENDATION:

Problem conclusion

  • Remove the usage of ".contains" to ".indexOf" in
StoreCommonUtilities.js to fix the error.
