Error description

  • When two business users download promotion codes at the same
    time from different promotions, the two downloads may be merged
    with codes from both promotions.

Problem summary

  • USERS AFFECTED:
    WebSphere Commerce V7 users with unique promotion codes, who
    download the generated codes.
    
    PROBLEM ABSTRACT:
    Possible data corruption when two users export promotion codes
    at the same time.
    
    BUSINESS IMPACT:
    Business users cannot download expected promotion codes
    
    RECOMMENDATION:
    

Problem conclusion

  • Modified download promotion codes logic to include more user
    specific constraints to ensure the promotion codes downloaded
    for the user belong only to that user, no other codes from other
     users are downloaded to this user.
