Error description
When importing Digital Analytics segments into WebSphere Commerce, there is insufficient logging and error messages to help diagnose incorrectly encrypted password data and invalid user ids. The authentication password must be ASCII-encoded. Inadequate error messages are provided to help diagnose the situation where a different encoding is used.
Local fix
Ensure password is ASCII-encoded (not HEX-encoded) using the WebSphere Commerce utility wcs_encrypt.
Problem summary
USERS AFFECTED: V7 customers who export customer segments from Digital Analytics. PROBLEM ABSTRACT: Additional error checking needed when importing segments into WebSphere Commerce. BUSINESS IMPACT: Business user is unable to export a segment to WebSphere Commerce from Digital Analytics if the password is encrypted incorrectly. Additionally, the import operation could fail in no-longer-valid userids are provided as members of the segment. RECOMMENDATION:

Additional tracing and error handling was introduced to more accurately describe the problem for the exporter of the data from Digital Analytics.
