Steps to reproduce on a product page (select attribute): a) Log in to the store b) Navigate to one product. c) Wait for the session to expire d) Select an attribute User should be told that the session has expired and then redirected to sign in page, instead the shopper sees an error about some unknown error occurred on the server.

Problem conclusion
A few places in the starter store did not use the WC Ajax framework to make asynchronous calls to the server, instead they used the dojo xhr framework directly. Therefore, these places do not handle timeout and other error scenarios gracefully. Change these few places to use proper WC Ajax framework.
