  • The idresgen utility might not resolve identifiers correctly on
DB2/iSeries databases.

This can happen if the utility is invoked directly from the
command-line or indirectly through another utility, e.g., during
 instance creation.

WebSphere Commerce users on v7.0 who use DB2/iSeries databases
and would like to perform identifier resolution using the
idresgen utility

PROBLEM ABSTRACT:
WebSphere Commerce idresgen utility might not resolve
identifiers correctly on DB2/iSeries databases

BUSINESS IMPACT:
Invocation of idresgen utility might not be successful when used
 with DB2/iSeries databases

Problem conclusion


    

  • For DB2/iSeries databases, the idresgen utility uses SQL
(instead of the Java API) to fetch foreign-key constraint
information. The SQL uses parameter markers to bind schema and
table information and the binding of this information was being
done in the incorrect order.

The information is now bound in the correct order.
