RECOMMENDATION:
Problem conclusion
The root cause of this issue is the schema changes for columns in the PX_CDPOOL table, introduced in the Feature Pack 6 APAR JR52302. The schema changes added new columns to the PX_CDPOOL database table. These new columns are not populated for promotion code entries that were created prior to enabling Feature Pack 6 or later. Added a check to fall back to the original Feature Pack 1 to 5 query that is used to update PX_CDUSAGE in the case that a promotion code does not have the new columns filled out.
