Error description

  • When the SendMarketingTriggers scheduled job runs to process
    Wait events in a dialog activity, sometimes the events are
    ignored and are not processed for individual customers. This
    occurs on a clustered environment.
    

Local fix

  • Set userBehaviorBatchUpdateCacheSize = 1 in the marketing
    wc-admin-component configuration

Problem conclusion

  • For a dialog activity, the marketing system records which
    triggers are expected for an individual customer (for example,
    wait triggers, or triggers in a branch) in the customer's user
    behavior record. These updates are first stored in memory, and
    are later persisted in a batch. In a clustered environment, when
     the triggers are processed (for example, by the
    SendMarketingTriggers scheduled job), the marketing system may
    not have the most current user behavior records, and the
    triggers will be ignored. As a result, the customers may not
    participate in the dialog activity as expected. The marketing
    system was updated to persist user behavior updates related to
    dialog activities immediately.
