Error description
When you upgrade to IBM Business Process Manager (BPM) V8.5.5.0, depending on your deployment environment properties, you might encounter some validation issues that are similar to the following exceptions when you run the DBUpgrade command: CWMCB0258E: The property bpm.de.authenticationAlias.2 has an invalid value [Dmgr/Myalias] because Dmgr/Myalias contains invalid characters. This error indicates there is a slash (/) in the bpm.de.authenticationAlias.2.name. The BPMConfig command doesn't recognize the slash and fails the validation. CWMCB0345E: LDAP protocol ldaps: is not supported. configured LDAP with SSL enabled on IBM BPM 8.5.0.x, the exported configuration properties file contains this information,However, secure LDAP fails the BPMConfig validation because it doesn't support the secure LDAP configuration. CWMCB0260E: The property bpm.dmgr.nodeName has an invali value [1TEST1aCellManager01] because 1TEST1aCellManager01 does not start with a letter.
Local fix
The validator called by DBUpgrade command does not support the LDAP information in the de.properties file and it fails You can work around the problem by commenting out the complete LDAP properties in the BPM.properties file and rerun the DBUpgrade command
