JR49529: CMVC 234645 - setupSearchIndex for Inventory fails if WebContent data is removed from SRCHCONFEXT

Error description

  • If you delete WebContent records from SRCHCONFEXT, then attempt
    to run setupSearchIndex for Inventory index, it will fail with
    errors like the following in wc-search-index-setup.log:

Local fix

  • Run setupSearchIndex to add the WebContent records back to
    SRCHCONFEXT, then run setupSearchIndex for Inventory index
    

Problem summary

  • USERS AFFECTED:
     WebSphere Commerce users on v7, feature pack 6 who have removed
    WebContent data from SRCHCONFEXT
    
     PROBLEM ABSTRACT:
     setupSearchIndex for Inventory fails if WebContent data is
    removed from SRCHCONFEXT
    
     BUSINESS IMPACT:
     Cannot setup an Inventory index.
    
     RECOMMENDATION:
    

Problem conclusion

  • Modified ConfigWCforSolrCatalogEntryJobBuilder to allow
    WebContent data to be resetup if a WebContent index isn't being
    setup at the first time.
