APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • When the daily processing for a Customer Abandons Shopping Cart
    dialog activity occurs, and the activity has a Send Message
    action to send an email at the daily scheduled time, a
    'SendEmailActivity' scheduled job is created for each user that
    day which had an abandoned shopping cart. As a result, the
    SCHCONFIG database table is filled with 'SendEmailActivity'
    records with the same timestamp. In addition, customers do not
    receive the marketing e-mail.  This problem also occurs with the
     other triggers that get processed once a day (Customer Is In
    Segment, Customer Celebrates Birthday, Recurring Order Event,
    Subscription Event)
    

Local fix

  • Select "Send immediately" in the Send Message e-mail action

Problem conclusion

  • The marketing code was fixed to only create one
    'SendEmailActivity' scheduled job for each day the dialog
    activity runs.
