Error description

  • When generating a monitor model in the Monitor Model Editor in
IBM Integration Designer based on a BPEL process, an inbound
event is not created in the monitor model if the activity in
the BPEL process marked for event monitoring is contained
within an event or fault handler that is in turn within a
    scope block.

    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: The monitor model generation logic in *
    * the Monitor Model Editor does not *
    * present options for monitoring *
    * certain activities in a BPEL process. *
    * The "Generate Monitor Model" wizard *
    * does not list activites on a panel *
    * where application elements to monitor *
    * are chosen if the activities are *
    * within event and fault handlers which *
    * are contained within a scope block. *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
Logic to find BPEL application elements to monitor did not
traverse event and fault handlers within a scope block.

Problem conclusion

  • Logic that finds monitorable BPEL application elements has
been corrected so that elements of event and fault handlers
which are under a scope block are presented as elements that
can be monitored when generating a monitor model.

An interim fix has been created for IBM Business Monitor
    version 8.0.1.1.
