Error description

• If the ProcessOrder web service is invoked with a
  CalculateExternally action code and the promotion code is
  passed, it will return an error message with error code
  ERR_MAJ_PROMOTION_CODE_INVALID.
  
   The following steps outline how the problem can be reproduced.
   1. Create a promotion with a promotion code and activate it
   2. Create a copy of this promotion
   3. Save and activate the copied promotion
   4. Delete the copied promotion

Problem summary

•  USERS AFFECTED:
   WebSphere Commerce users on v7.0 FEP5/FEP6 that are using the
  ProcessOrder web service call and have promotions with promotion
  codes.
  
   PROBLEM ABSTRACT:
   When a promotion code in reused in another promotion, an error
  may be thrown in the ProcessOrder web service call
  
   BUSINESS IMPACT:
   Once a promotion code is used in a promotion, it may not be
  possible to reuse it later in another promotion.
  
   RECOMMENDATION:
  

Problem conclusion

• The ValidatePromotionCodeCmd command has been extended to
  retrieve all promotions which use a promotion code. If the
  promotion code is valid for any one of these promotions, then
  the code is marked valid, otherwise invalid.
