Error description
Communications Server for Windows --------------------------------- When a program is run on an API Client system and issues a SLI_CLOSE call, that call gets converted to an ABEND and triggers an UNBIND with sense code 08A00002 sent to the host application. This does not happen when the same program is run directly on the server. When a program is run on an API Client system and issues a SLI_BID call, that call may sometimes be returned with lua_message_type=0x41 (LUA_INVALID_MESSAGE_TYPE) instead of the correct message type. This does not happen when the same program is run directly on the server.
Local fix
Problem summary
The SLI application runs on the Remote API Clinet wait on the BID, where the CS/Windows server terminate the session with BID outstanding and never post the BID to application.
Problem conclusion
API Client module make the close type as ABEND, where there is a BID outstanding, which drives UNBIND instead of RSHUTD. Now, if there is a BID outstanding then the SLI_CLOSE will be consider as normal close, which drives RSHUTD.
