APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • The default wc-service-client-library.xml file is present in the
following path WebContent/WEB-INF/config/bodMapping.

When creating an Overlay for customization purposes, a new XML
file with the same name should be created and placed in
WebContent/WEB-INF/config/bodMapping-ext.

Files placed in this directory may not be loaded correctly.

Local fix

  • The default wc-service-client-library.xml can be updated,
although this approach is generally not recommended as your
changes may be overwritten in future updates to the product.

Problem summary

  • USERS AFFECTED:
Users running Commerce v7.0 who have created a customized
wc-service-client-library.xml file in the
WebContent/WEB-INF/config/bodMapping-ext directory.

PROBLEM ABSTRACT:
Customizations in the wc-service-client-library.xml file stored
in WebContent\WEB-INF\config\bodMapping-ext are not being loaded

BUSINESS IMPACT:
Customizations are not loaded as expected

RECOMMENDATION:

Problem conclusion

  • The file
WebContent/WEB-INF/config/bodMapping-ext/wc-service-client-libra
ry.xml was not being processed due to a incorrect directory name
reference.  The code has been fixed such that
wc-service-client-library.xml under the custom directory
WebContent/WEB-INF/config/bodMapping-ext directory can now be
processed.
