APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • Sometimes customer wants to override some configurations from
com.ibm.commerce.order-fep provided by WebSphere Commerce
Feature Pack 5, the best practice is to put the customized file
under componentName-ext folder, there is a problem for reading
customized values from com.ibm.commerce.order-ext, which causes
the customized flags are not respected. This APAR is to fix this
 problem.

Local fix

  • Copy one more wc-admin-component.xml from
com.ibm.commerce.order-ext, and put it into
com.ibm.commerce.order-fep-ext.

Customers wants to override the FEP5 flags from
com.ibm.commerce.order-fep

PROBLEM ABSTRACT:
Some flags in customized order component configuration file
under com.ibm.commerce.order-ext can not be respected

BUSINESS IMPACT:
These orverride flags can not be respected.

RECOMMENDATION:

Problem conclusion

  • In this fix, we correct the wrong reading for the customized
flags from com.ibm.commerce.order-fep-ext, this directory should
 not be existing, all of the customized flags should be under
this directory: com.ibm.commerce.order-ext.
