Error description

  • When using catalog upload, users may see that the associated
database changes are not made despite the catalog upload run
completing successfully.

This happens when you customize the catalog upload tool and in
different configuration files you have conflicted column
exclusion list.

For example, in one configuration file, you exclude one column
for a table, but in another configuration file, you don't
exclude the column for the same table. The catalog upload caches
the ColumnExclusionList in the first run for the table and thus
the wrong ColumnExclusionList configuration is used in
subsequent attempts

All users on Websphere Commerce who use the Catalog Upload tool
in Management Center and modify the ColumnExclusionList
configuration

PROBLEM ABSTRACT:
The customization of the ColumnExclusionList for the catalog
upload tool may not work properly.

BUSINESS IMPACT:
Incorrect database changes are made when a CSV is loaded

RECOMMENDATION:

  • The code was rewritten to disable caching of the
ColumnExclusionList configuration every time the catalog upload
tool is used
