Error description

• Images based on the WebSphere Application Server (WAS) V7
  Hypervisor Edition (HVE) have a link in IBM Workload Deployer
  (IWD) to the WAS integrated solution console (ISC).  That WAS
  ISC is only for the default profile and does not allow the
  management of applications and servers in other profiles, such
  as the the solr server or application. Thus, there is no link
  from the IWD GUI to manage the Solr application.  The user would
  need to launch the WAS ICS for the Solr profile themselves.  In
  non-IWD environments this is fine:  the user needs to launch the
  ICS for each profile separately.  However, in IWD it appears as
  an inconsistency and is being addressed so the Commerce
  Virtualization Sample provides a consistent experience.

Problem summary

• USERS AFFECTED:
  No existing users would be impacted, as this is a new capability
  being added to support a new Commerce Virtualization Sample.
  
  PROBLEM ABSTRACT:
  By design the WebSphere Commerce search server and application
  are not in the default profile so on a WebSphere Application
  Server Hypervisor based system deployed from IWD, the search
  application can not be managed from WebSphere integrated
  solution console link that appears in the IBM Workload Deployer
  image information page.

Problem conclusion

• An IBM-internal only option is added to allow the Search server
  and application to be installed into the existing WAS Hypervisor
  default profile when WebSphere Commerce systems are being
  deployed using the Commerce Virtualization Sample via IBM
  Workload Deployer.
