Error description

• When using the "Display Promotional Price" action in a
  Management Center web activity, in a multi-language store, if
  the associated promotion does not have a value in the "Customer
  viewable short description" field, then the promotional price
  may not be displayed in the e-Marketing Spot. When a short
  description is added to the promotion, then the promotional
  price is displayed in the e-Marketing Spot.
  

Local fix

• Remove any alternate languages for the store from the LANGPAIR
  database table.
  

Problem summary

• USERS AFFECTED:
  WebSphere Commerce users on v7.0 who use the "Display
  Promotional Price" action and have alternate languages specified
  for the store.
  
  PROBLEM ABSTRACT:
  The Display Promotional Price action may not work as expected in
  a multi-language store if the associated promotion does not have
  a value in the "Customer viewable short description" field.
  
  BUSINESS IMPACT:
  Promotional price is not displayed correctly in the store front.
  
  RECOMMENDATION:
  

Problem conclusion

• The "Display Promotional Price" action returns the promotion
  description along with the calculated promotional price. There
  was an unexpected exception being thrown when finding the
  promotion description when alternate languages are configured
  for the store. The code was corrected so that the exception is
  not thrown when alternate languages are configured for the
  store.
