APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • When running setupSearchIndex.sh  on the Websphere Commerce
server the instance name is passed.  When  the Websphere
Commerce instance name and profile name are different the
setupSearchIndex.sh script fails with error such as below:


An error occurred while executing job.

Cause:
An error occurred while attempting to run task. The exception
error was: An IO exception was caught. The error was:
/opt/websphere/appserver/profiles/gisd/properties/soap.client.pr
ops (No such file or directory).



The failure above is due to the reason that the script looks for
a particular file under the profile directory and assumes that
that profile name is the instance name

The command setupSearchIndex.sh script fails when the Websphere
Commerce profile has different name compared with the instance
name

Unable to setup search indexing for solr configuration

  • The code in setupSearchIndex.sh script further enhanced to
handle cases where the Websphere Commerce instance name is
different from the profile name.
