APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • ODBC Connector jobs might abort in the SQLGetDiagRec() API while
using the newer DataDirect driver manager (build 127 and later).
This is due to a change in the driver manager input and output
values. This is applicable only to the UNIX platforms. After
applying this patch, users needs to set the following
environment variable: CC_ODBC_USE_NEW_DRIVER_MANAGER

Problem summary

  • ODBC Connector jobs on UNIX platforms, which use newer driver
manager of v127/U0090 or more can crash in SQLGetDiagRec API.

Problem conclusion

  • Code has been corrected to overcome this problem.

Temporary fix

  • User a driver manager below the mentioned version.
