Error description

  • When Feature Pack 3 starter store enhancements are enabled, and
search based navigation is disabled, any web service request
containing a search profile or an access profile that is mapped
to a search profile is always routed to the search mediator. Web
service requests should be routed to a search mediator only when
the request contains a search profile or an access profile that
is mapped to a search profile and search based navigation is
enabled for the store, else the request should be routed to a
    database mediator.

Local fix

Problem summary

  • USERS AFFECTED:
WebSphere Commerce 7.0 users who are using the Solr search
    framework from Feature Pack 3.

    PROBLEM ABSTRACT:
Requests containing search profile are routed to search mediator
framework even when search based navigation is disabled.

    BUSINESS IMPACT:
Web service requests should be routed to Solr search framework
based upon search profile/access profile and the enablement of
the search based navigation for the store.

    RECOMMENDATION:

Problem conclusion

  • If a web service request contains a search profile or an access
profile which is mapped to a search profile, then additionally,
the WebSphere Commerce web service framework will also check
whether search based navigation is enabled for the current store
id. If all the conditions satisfy then the request will be
routed to the search mediator, otherwise it will be routed to a
    database mediator.
