APAR status

Error description

  • After logging into WebSphere Administration Console and
    navigating to
    the SCA screen, and then to the Web Service Export binding
    screen the
    following error displays: "Failed to show the attributes of JAX
    web
    service binding" at top of the page. Thus, limits the user's
    ability to
    attach or dettach policy sets or client binding files.
    

Local fix

  • Use the Services->Service providers screen instead of SCA
    modules to alter the properties

Problem conclusion

  • WSDL throws exception as it can't find one of XSDs. The
    exception scenario needed to handled more gracefully to
    prevent loss of functionality. Code had to be reworked to
    allow for the original behavior, that existed before
    regression was introduced, to be restored.
