Error description

  • The following error is received when using Data Load to load
dictionary attributes in WebSphere Commerce 7 Feature Pack 2
"Maximum open cursors error (ORA-0100)". This error occurs only
when using Data Load on a WebSphere Commerce 7 Feature Pack 2
machine. This issue does not occur on a WebSphere Commerce
install with only Feature Pack 1.

PROBLEM ABSTRACT:
Maximum open cursors error (ORA-0100) received when using Data
Load to load dictionary attributes in WebSphere Commerce FEP2.

BUSINESS IMPACT:
Unable to complete Data Load process due to database error

Problem conclusion


    

  • The code base has been updated to properly close some
DBPreparedStatment and ResultSet objects that were left open
causing the Data Load process to exceed the cursor limit when
running against a large set of data.
