  • USERS AFFECTED:
All users of Commerce v7 who utilize the "Email Order"
functionality in Accelerator for guest orders.

PROBLEM ABSTRACT:
"Email Order" functionality in Accelerator sends email for guest
order to order owner instead of recipient specified.

BUSINESS IMPACT:
Order email for guest order not being sent to the expected email
address.

Problem conclusion


    

  • The root problem is that a message is being created using the
order notificationid as well as setting the recipient address.
The notificationid value takes precedence over the recipient
value so the message is sent to the address specified by the
ORDERS.notificationid (which is the address used when the guest
order is created).  This iFix updates the base code so that the
notificationid is not set when creating the message so that the
message is sent to the recipient value specified in the
Accelerator when emailing the order.
