Error description

• DB2 can abend with a SQL1224N or SQL0901N message when the
  DB2COMPOPT registry variable is set and the query contains an
  OUTER JOIN clause.
  
  DB2 can abend with a SQL1224N or SQL0901N message when the
  DB2COMPOPT registry variable is set and the query contains an
  OUTER JOIN clause. The outer operand of the OUTER JOIN clause
  must itself be a sub-select containing one or more table
  references or nested sub-selects. The ON clause associated with
  the OUTER JOIN must have one or more equality (=) join
  predicates relating columns of the inner and outer operands of
  the OUTER JOIN.
