APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• A CLI application using the SQLGetTypeInfo() API is returing the
  value "PRECISION,SCALE" for the CREATE_PARAMS column when a DEC
  IMAL type is used, and if the application is connecting to DB2 f
  or z/OS.
  .
  If the DECIMAL=COMMA setting is used on the host, then the corre
  ct value should be "PRECISION, SCALE" (with a space).  This is t
  he value that is returned from querying the SYSIBM.SQLTYPEINFO t
  able on the host as well.
  

Local fix

Problem summary

• Users Affected:  Application developers using the CLI driver.
  Problem Description:  The CLI API SQLGetTypeInfo() was returning
  the wrong value from the CREATE_PARAMS column with a z/DB2
  connection.
  

Problem conclusion

• First fixed in DB2 UDB Version 9, Fixpak 5
