Error description
Installing the FP1 for DB2 v9 on Windows always enables the Extended Security feature. If the DB2 v9 GA was previously installed with disabled Extended Security, applying the FP1 enables the Extended Security without asking.
Local fix
Use the db2extsec command to revert the changes.
Problem summary
USERS AFFECTED: All users installing DB2 on Windows PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Installing the FP1 for DB2 v9 on Windows always enables the Extended Security feature. Problem conclusion
First fixed in DB2 UDB Version 9, FixPak 3 (s070719).
Temporary fix
Use the db2extsec command to revert the changes.
