Error description
Some federated queries fail with SQL1101N when db2_fenced=Y and no user maps exist.
Local fix
Problem summary
Users affected: Federated queries using version 8 fixpak 11 and 12 under the following conditions: - ESE/DPF environment - Wrapper DB2_FENCED = 'Y' - No user mapping is defined for connecting DB2 user - Federated parallel plan is enabled, i.e., fetching data from nickname is happening in a DB2 subagent. Problem Description: Federated query receives the following sql error message: SQL1101N Remote database "<dbname>" on node "" could not be accessed with the specified authorization id and password. SQLSTATE=08004 Problem Summary: The db2 subagent receives a null string instead of a password
Problem conclusion
Only impacts federated query under the special conditions above First fixed in DB2 UDB Version 8, FixPak 11
