  • Database deadlocks between validatePolicies and
checkSetSerialize methods

Problem summary


    

  • The validatePolicies method led to configuration checking in the
database, this had the potential to conflict with other
configuration activities also in the database.

The use of caching has been increased so that configuration
checking is reduced, which reduces the opportunities for a
deadlock.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • This fix reduces database interaction for configuration
checking.

If you are observing deadlocks, APARs IZ85836 and IZ87344 are
also recommended.

This fix is expected in 7.0.0.4
