APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Steps to recreate:
  1. On a Windows 64 bit machine, install and configure Oracle
  Extended agent v6.3 fp1.
  2. Launch the uninstaller and deselect ITCAM Extended Agent for
  Oracle Database
  3. Open the MTEMS
  
  "Monitoring Agent for Oracle RAC" is still listed.
  

Local fix

Problem summary

• Uninstalling a multi-instance agent in GUI mode left agent
  instances installed.
  
  
  After installing a multi-instance agent packageded with the ITM
  6.2.2 Fix Pack 2 or lower level installer into an enviroment
  installed with the ITM 6.2.2 Fix Pack 2 common installer, when
  an attempt is made to uninstall an agent which has one or more
  instances, only the template will be uninstalled.  All instances
  of the agent will remain installed.
  

Problem conclusion

• The code was changed such that when the installer is launched
  from Add or Remove programs and the Modify option is selected,
  the installer executes the code which removes agent instances.
