APAR status

Error description

  • During the interactions between WSRR EJB update and WSRR Policy
Analytics EJB a deadlock is caused because of the Policy
Analytics transactionality.

Local fix

  • Remove a lookup from the Policy Analytics bean

Problem summary

  • There was a table deadlock between the policy analytics EJB and
the WSRR EJB. The fix is in common code and this could
theoretically affect any platform. However, in practice it only
affects DB2 z/OS, because the locking model WSRR uses for DB2
z/OS is different from the locking model used for other
databases.

locking model

Problem conclusion

  • This fix is expected in 7.0.0.3
