APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• In the Network Interface attributes goup, the ip addresses
  associated to the network interface cards are set to the value
  NO_DNS_ENTRY when there is the character # in the card
  description as displayed by the "ipconfig -a" command.
  
                        for example:
                        Intel(R) PRO/1000 MT Network Connection #2
  
  RECREATE INSTRUCTIONS:
  
  Install multiple network interface cards of the same model on
  your workstation.
  The operating systems will describe them as
  
                        - card description
                        - card description #2
                        - card description #3
  etc.
  If you display the Network Interface table on TEP, only the
  first one will show its ip address. The others will display the
  NO_DNS_ENTRY value.
  

Local fix

Problem summary

• In the Network Interface attributes goup, the ip addresses
  associated to the network interface cards are set to the value
  NO_DNS_ENTRY when there is the character # in the card
  description as displayed by the "ipconfig -a" command.
     for example:
     Intel(R) PRO/1000 MT Network Connection #2
  
  the "#" sign needs to be  translated into a "_"  for
  comparing it with perfmon values .
