    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
    Closed or acknowledged events not clearing from TEP situation
    event console.
    
    MDVREGR caused by APAR IZ50716 in 6.2.1-TIV-ITM-FP0002
    

Local fix

  • Recycle tep client.
    

Problem summary

  • Acknowledging events when logged on to the Tivoli Enterprise
    Portal with a USER ID that has an assigned overview does not
    clear the original open event from the navigator tree and the
    situation event console. This problem only happens with userids
    that have assigned overviews (the root defined for that user is
    at a different level of the navigator tree than the actual root)
    

Problem conclusion

  • Fixed the problem so when an event is acknowledged the original
    open event is removed and only the event with the acknowledged
    status remains in the navigator tree and situation event
    console.
    
    
    The fix for this APAR is included in the following maintenance

Temporary fix

  • Log off and back on the Tivoli Enterprise portal.
