APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• After removing application support for the TEP server and
  browser
  components, and reconfiguring the TEPS sever, applet.html still
  contains
  entries for the jar files that have been removed.
  
  
  RECREATE INSTRUCTIONS:
  
  Install ITM 6.22 TEPS on Unix or Linux
  Install application support for some applications.
  Configure TEPS
  Make a copy of applet.html
  Run the following commands to remove application support for the
  XX
  application.  Set the environment variables CANDLEHOME and XX to
  use
  the commands as written.  CANDLEHOME is the ITM installation
  directory.
  XX is the 2 letter application code that you want to remove
  application
  support for.
  
    cd ${CANDLEHOME}/*/cq
    rm sqllib/k${XX}*
    rm data/dock${XX}
    rm ../tmp/${XX}tps.ver
    cd ${CANDLEHOME}/*/cw
    for jarfile in `cat k${XX}.inf | cut -d' ' -f1`
    do
      rm classes/$jarfile
    done
    rm k${XX}.inf
    rm k${XX}*.jnlp
    rm -rf classes/candle/k${XX}
    rm -rf candle/k${XX}
  
  Configure TEPS again
  Compare applet.html and the backup file and notice that the
  entries for
  the application resource jars have not been removed from
  applet.html
  

Local fix

Problem summary

• Following the process to remove application support can leave
  invalid entries in applet.html.
  
  
  The process to remove application support is described in
  technote 1296601
  (http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21296601).
  
  The last step of the process is to reconfigure the TEPS using
  the command "itmcmd config -A cq".  This step is supposed to
  remove entries from applet.html for any jar files that were
  removed.  However, this step does not remove those entries.
  

Problem conclusion

• The code was changed to remove entries from applet.html for jar
  files that have been removed.
