Error description

• The SSM will detect the AIX 64-bit kernel type incorrectly if it
  has been running for more than 497 days. This results in the
  srSystemUpTime value being reported as 0 or 1 until the system
  is rebooted.
  

Local fix

• Reboot server once per year.

  PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
  The SSM will detect the AIX 64-bit kernel type incorrectly if it
  has been running for more than 497 days. This results in the
  srSystemUpTime value being reported as 0 or 1 until the system
  is rebooted.

  RECOMMENDATION:
  Upgrade to Fix Pack 10 for SSM 4.0.

Problem conclusion

• A logic error in the AIX kernel detection code of plib would
  result in uptime being reported incorrectly if the system had
  been up for 497+ days.
