Error description

• When the sitconfuser.sh script is executed with a password that
  contains a special character, such as the pound sign, it
  results in:
     bad password. Error: ￭root@abcdef01  dr1
     /cust/IBM/SitForwarder/bin$./sitconfuser.sh
     add serverid=xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx  userid=itmuser
     password=nnnn#aaa pathc=/cust/IBM/SitForwarder/etc
  The same userid/password can be used successfully to log onto
  the TEP without any problems.
  
    IZ50036 addressed a similar issue in the SUF handling, but
  not in the executable.

Local fix

Problem summary

• The sitconfuser.sh and sitconfuser.cmd scripts do not allow
  passwords with special characters such as # and &.
  
  
  Specifying a password that contains a special character results
  in the error message about a bad password.
  

Problem conclusion

• The code contained a restricted set of characters that it
  checked for, when checking the password.  It was modified to
  include special characters.
  
  
  The fix for this APAR is contained in the following maintenance
  packages:
