Error description

  • When using the CPI-C xcmssi call with security = program, the
    remote application rejects the conversation due to invalid
    security information (the userid and/or password).
    

Local fix

Problem summary

  • USERS AFFECTED:
      All applications using the CPI-C call xcmssi to specify
      conversation security.
    
      PROBLEM SUMMARY:
      An application using xcmssi to specity conversation security
      is rejected because the xcmssi call fails to encode the userid
      or password properly when the user id or password is exactly
      eight characters long.
    

Problem conclusion

  • Internal code has been modified to correctly pad the userid and
    password to 10 characters using spaces instead of NULL.
