Error description

  • Agt 1 connected to RTEMS A

    somehow disconnect occurs and

Agt 1 connects to RTEMS B

Event raises and sends event to Omnibus

Agt 1 disconnects from RTEMS B and connects to RTEMS A

Event is resent to Omnibus from RTEMS A but Omnibus sees he
already has this and deletes this event

N record sent to omnibus and event is erased

so now the event raised but Omnibus has deleted 1 because of
duplicate and deleted another due to agent offline indication

When the new Y event is sent, EIF now has 2 open events, 1 from
each thrunode. When the reset record is generated and sent to
EIF, the theory had been that the most recent event is erased
instead of the one with the old thrunode.

Local fix

  • No workaround available

Problem summary

  • When an agent switches from 1 RTEMS to another and a new Y event
is sent from RTEMS2, Omnibus deduplication rules close the
event from RTEMS1 and keep the one from RTEMS2. When the reset
record is generated and sent to Omnibus, this most recent event
is erased also and now there are no events on Omnibus even
though the situation is still true.

Problem conclusion

  • The Reset event sent by RTEMS1 will be have a value of "DROP" in
situation_eventdata. This will cause the deduplication rules
on Omnibus to drop the Reset event and not close the Y status
    event.
