APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• If columns are locked on a table view that does not display the
  Link Anchor column, the Find Dialog attribute selection boxes do
  not allow the first table column to be selected for comparison.
  

Local fix

• Analysis of the find dialog code shows that the first column is
  assumed to contain the link anchors and is unconditionally
  excluded from the list of selectable attributes in the find
  dialog.  The problem can be overcome by defining a link from the
  table rows and ensuring that the link anchor column is
  displayed.  Another option is to reorder the columns so that the
  first column will not typically be useful for Find operations.
  A third option is to avoid locking columns on table views
  displaying no Link Anchors.
  

Problem summary

• The Find Dialog provides lists of columns in the view that can
  be used to construct search expressions. The first locked column
  is not included in the lists if one or more columns are locked
  and the Link Anchor row header column is not displayed.
  

Problem conclusion

• The logic was changed to include the first locked data column in
  the Find Dialog search list even if the Link Anchor column is
  not displayed.
