APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • When a WSDL contains an import statement, and the WSDL is
updated using Studio or the WSRR eclipse plugin, the publish
fails to update the affected WSDL file on the WSRR server. There
are no error messages in the Studio or eclipse console.

The .log file shows:

com.ibm.sr.eclipse.plugins.exceptions.PluginException

Caused by: javax.xml.soap.SOAPException:
com.ibm.sr.emf.ecore.resource.Resource$IOWrappedException:
Unresolved reference 'd87ccbd8-c384-44aa.bea6.b3e5ebb3a674'.

Local fix

  • 



Problem summary


    

  • If you have a WSDL which imports an XSD, which also imports
another XSD, and you publish it from Studio to WSRR, subsequent
updates failed, and there was no symptom shown in Studio (an
error is logged in the workspace log).

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • The code has been fixed so that updates to WSDL are completed
even if there are nested XSD references.

This fix is expected in 7.0.0.1
